Sleeping Bear Farms Star Thistle Honey

This wonderful honey comes from “The Most Beautiful Place in America,” the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, not coincidentally where Mark Majszak grew up.

The lovingly tended bees are also well-traveled, spending winters in warmer climates where they enjoy tupelo, and California where they help pollinate fruit.

The Star Thistle Honey, however, is pure Michigan. Star Thistle, or knapweed, blooms in the summer and provides the sweet nectar from mid-July to mid-August. The honey is mild and light in color; many visitors to Sleeping Bear return annually for their honey fix — which we can provide for you!
